{"id":2558,"date":"2021-11-04T10:55:07","date_gmt":"2021-11-04T10:55:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bbostaffs.org\/?p=2558"},"modified":"2022-05-12T17:31:25","modified_gmt":"2022-05-12T17:31:25","slug":"work-for-us-peer-mentor-coordinator","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bbostaffs.org\/work-for-us-peer-mentor-coordinator\/","title":{"rendered":"Work for Us: Peer Mentor Coordinator"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>JOB SPECIFICATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job title: <\/strong>Peer Mentoring Coordinator<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salary: <\/strong>\u00a310.50<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hours of Work: <\/strong>15 hours per week<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsible to: <\/strong>Programme Manager<\/p>\n<p><strong>Supervision: <\/strong>Senior Employability Officer Support Staffordshire<\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose of Post: <\/strong>Under the supervision of the Support Staffordshire\u2019s Senior Employment Officer, to develop and deliver the peer mentoring programme for Building Better Opportunities (BBO) participants, liaising and collaborating with participants and partners across the BBO programme to recruit mentors and identify suitable mentees for each as appropriate.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To support in the recruitment, induction and placing of mentors and mentees into the peer mentoring<\/li>\n<li>To monitor mentee\u2019s experience of mentoring.<\/li>\n<li>To monitor mentors\u2019 experience of mentoring, including their participation and to deliver regular supervision and support to mentors.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain records of the placement of mentors and mentees, training activities, supervision notes and monitoring<\/li>\n<li>To advise on safe and realistic activities for mentors and<\/li>\n<li>To keep accurate records of participation, using appropriate in-house systems.<\/li>\n<li>To be responsible for collating and reporting on participation and obtaining feedback from mentors and mentees in respect of their individual experiences of the peer mentoring project.<\/li>\n<li>To perform health and safety assessments for mentoring activities as required, in accordance with BES policy.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure that appropriate DBS checks are completed in accordance with the BES safeguarding policy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>This role is fully funded by the European Social Fund and the National Lottery Community Fund as part of the Building Better Opportunities Programme.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1252\" src=\"https:\/\/bbostaffs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/building-better-opportunities-staffordshire.jpg\" alt=\"Building Better Opportunities Logo\" width=\"389\" height=\"173\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bbostaffs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/building-better-opportunities-staffordshire.jpg 389w, https:\/\/bbostaffs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/building-better-opportunities-staffordshire-300x133.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 389px) 100vw, 389px\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>JOB SPECIFICATION \u00a0 Job title: Peer Mentoring Coordinator Salary: \u00a310.50 Hours of Work: 15 hours per week Responsible to: Programme Manager Supervision: Senior Employability Officer Support Staffordshire Purpose of Post: Under the supervision of the Support Staffordshire\u2019s Senior Employment Officer, to develop and deliver the peer mentoring programme for Building Better Opportunities (BBO) participants, liaising [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":1263,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_mi_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v20.12 -
