Functional Skills English – 2nd November
Want to improve your English – Speaking, Reading and Writing skills?
This course can help get you started.
We offer a variety of English courses at every level, so whether you want to start at the very beginning or ‘polish up your skills’ at a higher level we will have a course that suits your needs.
Functional Skills courses are for anyone looking to build their confidence with some of the core skills they’ll need for employment or higher level of study
You will complete your studies through three units:
Unit 1: Speaking, Listening and Communication, which will be assessed by your teacher. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet each criterion at least once through formal and informal discussion.
Unit 2: Reading, which will be assessed by an exam. At levels 1 and 2, you can complete the exam as an on-screen test
Unit 3: Writing, which will be assessed by an exam. At levels 1 and 2, you can complete the exam as an on-screen test.
The course is assessed in three externally assessed exams – Reading, Writing and Speaking & Listening.
Qualification Obtained:
- Functional Skills ‘Entry 1 – Level 2’
- Certificate in ‘English Skills’
