This course is designed to help you gain a basic knowledge of working with children up to age 5 in early years settings. It will introduce you to subjects such as the value of play and the roles and responsibilities of carers and volunteers. We recommend that you combine this course with a volunteer position in a crèche or nursery.

Before you can do this course, you will need to do an Initial Assessment to make sure the course is right for you.
