If you are considering a career in catering or working in a restaurant, then this single session course will provide invaluable insight and guidance.

Join Chef Kevin Ashton, who has worked in hotels, restaurants and event caterers in the UK Holland, Bermuda and the US. Learn about the basics, from cuts of vegetables to making stocks and sauces. There will also be an opportunity to consider the hygiene and safety procedures necessary for working in a kitchen.

Furthermore, Kevin will highlight the challenges of working in an industry which requires commitment and a high level of professionalism, but one which can reward endeavour and dedication. Kevin will encourage students to ask questions about what it is like to work in the business.

This course is then followed by an accredited course on Food Hygiene, which really could lead you to a career in catering.
