TQUK Level 1 Award Safeguarding in a Learning Environment
The course is for those who would like to develop their knowledge and understanding of issues around safeguarding so they can ensure that they are working in a safe and secure learning environment that promotes their health and wellbeing.
Whether you are an employer, learner or colleague is it vital to be able to identify harm, abuse, and exploitation, and more importantly to act upon it appropriately.
This qualification, safeguarding in a learning environment, will support learners to develop knowledge and understanding of the ways in which young people may be vulnerable to harm, abuse, or exploitation in the learning environment.
It will help the learner to understand the personal responsibilities required to keep young people safe, with the suitable knowledge and understanding that everyone has the right to learn, to be safe and to be respected. You will cover various aspects of safeguarding and can explore these within your own workplace setting.
Learners will be able to make sure that they are being provided with a safe and secure learning environment that promotes their health and well-being.
On the course you will cover the basic principles of safeguarding in a learning environment. Personal boundaries, harassment and bullying and staying safe online in a learning environment.
You will be expected to complete one mandatory unit and three optional units.
