Staffordshire South West Citizens Advice Bureau has a vacancy for a Building Better Opportunities Advocate/Caseworker

Salary: £ 20,500

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract: Fixed until 31st December 2019.

Location: Based at The Hub Stafford, and working at various locations in Staffordshire as required, including Citizens Advice offices and local Work Clubs

Building Better Opportunities, funded by Big Lottery and European Social Fund, aims to address social exclusion, with the ultimate goal of encouraging people into employment, volunteering, training or formal job search activities.

The Advocate role works with participants to develop a programme of activities to remove barriers to work and improve skills and confidence. In addition the post holder will be required to conduct Debt, Benefit and Housing casework..

You will:
Have a commitment to meeting the long term needs of vulnerable clients
The ability to commit to and work within the aims, principles and policies of the Citizens Advice serviceand BBO programme
Ability to work with other local providers
Track record of providing casework to Citizens Advice Quality standards
Experience of project working in a target led environment
Have access to a vehicle and be willing to travel
